La página web del diario británico ‘The Guardian’ había reportado con anterioridad que la Agencia de Seguridad Nacional de EE.UU. estaba recabando los registros telefónicos de millones de clientes de la compañía de comunicaciones Verizon, uno de los mayores proveedores de servicios de telecomunicación del país.
La orden juridicial emitida en abril y válida hasta el día 19 de julio requiere que Verizon facilite a la agencia la información de todas las llamadas telefónicas del sistema de forma “diaria y continua”, tanto dentro de EE.UU. como al extranjero, informa ‘The Guardian’.
