En una misiva enviada al presidente por el Comité Nacional Demócrata (DNC) se contempla abiertamente la posibilidad de que se concrete en 2014 un juicio político contra Obama por la supuesta mala conducta presidencial, si suficientes republicanos toman el control del Congreso en las elecciones de noviembre de 2014, escribe ‘The Daily Caller’.
La carta, titulada ‘juicio político’, ha sido enviada al mandatario estadounidense para recordarle que llegó la hora de buscar el respaldo de los ciudadanos norteamericanos.
“Los republicanos están realmente entusiasmados con la idea”, dice el correo electrónico, subrayando que los demócratas necesitan ganar 17 escaños al Partido Republicano de Estados Unidos (GOP) para reclamar una mayoría.
Aunque la popularidad del presidente de EE.UU. sigue cayendo —el número de estadounidenses que apoyan su rumbo político ha alcanzado un porcentaje mínimo del 37%—, ningún representante ha solicitado un juicio político contra él ante el Comité Judicial de la Cámara ni ha presentado un acta de acusación desde que el presidente Obama asumiera el cargo en 2009.
