Un video que apareció en Internet donde uno de los líderes de los rebeldes sirios, Zahran Alloush, interviene con un discurso acalorado mientras en su mesa hay una libreta con la imagen de Hello Kitty se ha hecho viral.
El rebelde criticaba fuertemente al Estado Islámico (como se llama actualmente el EIIL), informa ‘Independent’. No se sabe si la libreta provenía de la carga de ayuda humanitaria para Siria o Alloush es simpatizante de los gatitos y la cultura japonesa, pero este contraste provocó una oleada de burlas entre los internautas y en algunos medios.
