Facebook anunció este jueves una nueva función llamada contacto de legado que permitirá a sus usuarios heredar a un amigo o familiar en la red social su cuenta para que puedan publicar tras su muerte.
La persona designada podrá escribir un mensaje, por ejemplo sobre el funeral o en recuerdo a la persona fallecida, así como responder a solicitudes de nuevos amigos y cambiar la foto de perfil.
Pero el contacto no podrá conectarse como la persona fallecida, ni borrar lo que escribió anteriormente o ver sus mensajes privados, explicó la red en un mensaje publicado este jueves en su sitio de noticias oficial.
Si la persona que hereda la cuenta lo permite, el contacto de legado también podrá descargar todo su archivo de fotos, publicaciones e información de perfil.
La función aún no está disponible en México, según lo señala el servicio de ayuda de Facebook y no existe una fecha tentativa para que sea activada, sin embargo, la red señaló que buscará “expandirlo a más países”.
Si vives en Estados Unidos y te interesa activar la función, puedes hacerlo desde Settings> Security> Legacy Contact, explicó.
Facebook te pedirá agregar el nombre de un amigo, al que se le enviará el siguiente mensaje: “Hola. Facebook ahora permite a las personas elegir un contacto de legado para manejar su cuenta si algo les pasa. Ya que me conoces bien y confío en ti, te escojo. Por favor hazme saber si quieres hablar sobre esto”, de acuerdo con imágenes del mensaje publicadas por la red social.
Hasta antes de esta actualización, Facebook permitía a los familiares de alguien fallecido convertir la cuenta en conmemorativa, con lo que se colocaba un mensaje sobre el nombre de la persona dejando ver que había muerto, pero nadie podía modificarla.
