“Esta mañana (viernes para el lector), Israel llevó a cabo una prueba de lanzamiento en la base de Palmachim de un sistema de propulsión de cohetes”, declaró el Ministerio de Defensa israelí en un breve comunicado.
“La prueba programada fue pre-planificada por el Ministerio de Defensa de Israel, y se llevó a cabo como se esperaba”, añade el comunicado sin dar más detalles.
Los medios israelíes, citando a los analistas, informaron que se podría tratar de una prueba de la última versión del misil balístico Jericó, que tiene un alcance de entre 5.000 y 11.000 kilómetros y es capaz de transportar una ojiva de hasta una tonelada, según la cadena iraní Press TV.
La última prueba del misil Jericó 3 se llevó a cabo en noviembre del 2011.
