En la norteña ciudad siria de Al-Raqqa una joven fue apedreada hasta la muerte por grupos islamistas por tener una cuenta de la red social Facebook.
Fatum al-Yasem fue llevada ante un tribunal de la sharia después de que miembros del Estado Islámico de Irak y el Levante (EIIL), una de las facciones extremistas más influyentes que operan en Siria, capturaran a la joven mientras usaba la red social, informó la agencia iraní FARS.
Según la información, el tribunal declaró que el uso de Facebook equivale al adulterio, por lo que condenó a la joven a la lapidación.
El EIIL, vinculado a Al-Qaeda, ha impuesto duras restricciones a los ciudadanos después de las recientes victorias que ha obtenido en sus enfrentamientos con otras facciones terroristas en el norte de Siria.
Anteriormente, varias agrupaciones extremistas de ese país declararon la guerra al EIIL y la mayoría de los enfrentamientos entre los grupos radicales tienen lugar en el norte y este del territorio sirio.
